CLA Joins Letter Urging Administration to Pursue an Aggressive Trade Agenda

CLA and 32 other agriculture associations sent a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai, regarding the trade agenda and need for enforcement of current agreements and international commitments before the House and Senate trade agenda committee hearings this week.

The letter urges the administration to recommit to an aggressive trade agenda, holding parties accountable to commitments, and improving trade enforcement mechanisms. The group also expressed that the U.S. should also complete negotiations for WTO dispute settlement system reform in 2024, as it has already committed.
