CLA Urges Secretary Rubio to Keep U.S. Engaged in Global Pesticide Dialogues

On July 17, CLA sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio urging continued U.S. engagement in international treaty forums that focus on the regulation of chemicals, products, and waste. Specifically, the letter emphasized the importance of sustained participation by U.S. agencies in the technical bodies that develop recommendations for chemical listings under the Stockholm and Rotterdam Conventions: the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee (POPRC) and the Chemical Review Committee (CRC).
