Now Serving 9 Billion

This video segment helped set the stage for CropLife International’s special global web cast at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. on February 12,  2010.  Now Serving 9 Billion: A Global Dialogue on Meeting Food Needs for the Next Generation is introduced by Denise Dewar of CLI and features a tribute to Norman Borlaug, father of the Green Revolution. Besides CLI, the event was hosted by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and the Council of Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST).  Dr. Borlaug’s final call to action was published in a recent CAST paper, which was made available at the event. The webcast was viewed at over a thousand live sites in more than 30 countries and ran for two hours.   The entire show can be viewed by accessing www.CropNewsNetwork.com.
