Southern Crop Production Association Announces Executive Vice President Search

DAWSON, GA – The Southern Crop Production Association (SCPA) announces that it has begun a search to select an executive vice president to succeed Col. Edgar Duskin who is retiring late in 2015. “Our association has been honored to be served by the extraordinary leadership of Col. Duskin for decades,” said 2015 SCPA Board President Spencer Black of Triangle Chemical Company in Macon, GA. “The SCPA board and our search committee realize the critical importance of our work to find and retain an executive vice president to both continue the traditions and excellence of advocacy and outreach and to help lead our industry in challenging and exciting times.”

Black is joined on the SCPA search committee by fellow board members Steve Williams (Albaugh LLC in Albany, GA) and Michael Boden (Syngenta Crop Protection in Memphis, TN) and past President Jeff Cassady (Bayer CropScience in Reidsville, NC). Many other board members and committee leaders are in active support of the search committee.

The SCPA search is currently underway and the committee intends to screen applicant candidates through early March and conduct interviews beginning in March. Target hiring of the successful finalist candidate is for mid-summer with at least a full 4th quarter 2015 transition overlap with incumbent Executive Director Duskin to conclude in 2015.

Founded in 1954 by the Southeastern pesticides industry, SCPA today provides member services across 15 southern states, from Texas and Oklahoma to Virginia, Delaware and Maryland. The association is active in issue management and advocacy in those states and also at the Federal level in conjunction with its national association partners and allies. It is supported by more than 62 member companies, with active/voting members representing agricultural crop protection products or seed and associate members made up of a cross section of firms providing goods or services to active member concerns.

Interested applicants may submit their interest and resume to SCPA President Black and will receive a job description and more information about SCPA:
