To make reservations, call the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes, Orlando at (407) 206-2400 or (800) 241-3333 and refer to the "CLA/RISE Annual Meeting." You can also make reservations on the Ritz-Carlton web site by using the group code CLACLAA.

The deadline for making hotel reservations at the discounted conference rate ($199 single/double) is August 24, 2006. After August 24, 2006, any reservation received will be accepted on a space available basis. Please note: After August 24, a deposit for two nights is required to confirm a reservation. Deposits will be refunded if cancellation is received 7 days prior to your scheduled check-in date. Thereafter, deposits are non-refundable. All room cancellations must be made directly with the hotel, not through CropLife America. Check-in time is 3:00 pm; check-out time is noon. The special CLA/RISE conference rate of $199 per night, single or double occupancy, is available from September 20 - 30, 2007.

Ground Transportation

The Ritz-Carlton Orlando is served by Orlando International Airport (MCO), which is approximately 10 miles away. Cab fare from the airport is approximately $35. The Ritz-Carlton also suggests their preferred airport transportation company, Mears Transportation, for your transportation needs. You may call them in advance at (407) 423-5566 to reserve your transportation.

Parking

Parking at the hotel is available via their valet service only and the cost is $14.00 per day.

Weather & Climate

The climate of Orlando can best be described as tropical! Expect some afternoon showers and temperatures from the mid-to-high 80s in the daytime and the low 70s in the evenings. Business casual attire (collared shirt and pants; no suits) is appropriate for all events, EXCEPT for the Dinner and Dance on Monday, September 25. Business attire is required for this event (jacket & tie).

We recognize that most of the south faced some tough weather during last year’s hurricane season, but also realize that this was a rare occurrence. In the event that Florida is facing the threat of a hurricane, check the CropLife America website for updates.

Dining Options

There are six restaurants between the Ritz-Calrton and the JW Marriot on the Grande Lakes property. Reservations for any of these can be made by calling 407-206-2400.

Please be advised that the restaurant Primo located at the adjacent JW Marriott bills itself as an “organic” restaurant.
