ACTIVITIES

Tuesday Golf Outing and PAC Tournament

The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club ® Orlando,  Grande Lakes provides golfers with an experience not typically found in Florida.  The design, by two-time British Open Champion Greg Norman, blends a variety of hazards to provide a challenging but fair test of a golfer's abilities. The line of play will feature closely mown turf to invite creativity, while the roughs will be kept short to enhance the enjoyment of the recreational golfer.  Measuring over 7,100 yards, this 18-hole championship golf course rivals the best courses in the area and is enjoyable for golfers of every skill level. In addition, the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club ® Orlando,  Grande Lakes is proud to have a unique Golf Caddie Concierge Program in place to enhance the round of golf.

RISE Golfers

You will be happy to know we are planning our traditional Annual Meeting golf tournament this year along with our friends at CropLife America.  Due to the combined nature of the golf event and the fact that the CLA portion of the tournament is ONLY for those players who contribute to the CropLife America PAC (CLPAC), registration to play will be handled differently than in years past.  Since RISE members are not required to contribute to the CLPAC, they will register to play in the tournament separately from registering to attend the Annual Meeting and other events associated with the Annual Meeting.

Total charges to play in the tournament are $188.08 which includes greens fees, tax, and caddy gratuity (non-optional).  Club rental is also available for $55 plus tax.  This year all golf charges, EXCEPT hole sponsorship, will be billed to the individual player’s room.  However, we must give a list of players to the golf course 7 days prior to the tournament.  You may cancel your participation up to 7 days in advance.  After that, your room will be charged for your participation whether you actually play or not.

Tuesday Spouses’ & Non-golfers Program

Tuesday, Spouse/Guest/Non-Golfer Lunch and Tour – For those that don’t wish to golf on Tuesday, come hear Tom Schlick, the Grande Lakes’ director of grounds discuss how the Grande Lakes property including the golf course and both hotels came into being while maintaining the wetlands that are the headwaters to the Florida Everglades.  He will discuss how our industry products help to keep the grounds healthy and beautiful.  Following this lunch discussion, Mr. Schlick will take the group on a tour of the grounds, which will include the gardens which grow some of the vegetables served in the hotels and the wetlands.  Be sure to sign up for the lunch and the tour on your registration form.
